Residential Solar Systems

A standard solar energy system consists of photovoltaic (PV) panels mounted to your roof, and an inverter or inverters that convert the direct current (DC) electricity that the panels produce into alternating current (AC) power that is used in your home.

Commercial Solar Systems

Commercial solar is often a better investment than residential solar because businesses use most of the power during the day. Instead of selling power back to the grid for 15c/kWh, you will use the power you generate and save around 22c/kWh.

Industrial Solar Systems

TEG offers complete industrial solar solutions for photovoltaic integration and connection including power conversion ( inverters, transformers, and switchgear), electrical distribution, monitoring, supervision, and technical support. TEG provides the full solution from the panel DC output to the grid connection.

Grid Connected

Grid connect solar is one of the most common solar system set-ups in Australia. This type of system is connected to the electricity grid allowing the excess electricity that is generated by the system that is not used in your premises to be fed back to the grid. Because of this, your system does not require the use of solar storage (i.e., batteries). The excess electricity fed back to the grid will be credited to your bill with a feed-in tariff by your electricity retailer such as Ergon Energy Pty Ltd or Alinta Energy.

Grid Connected with Batteries

Grid Connected solar with batteries allows you store your excess electricity made by your solar system for later use. This maximises the use of your solar power and further reduces your bill. You can also use the batteries to keep the lights on when the power goes out on the electricity network, much like a UPS does for your computer.

We also offer systems that can take part in a Virtual Power Plant (VPP). This allows the customer to take part in supplying power to the network when the power is required, allowing you take part in even greater returns on your investment. If your looking to upgrade your existing system to have batteries, or to get batteries as part of a new system, we can help.

Off-Grid

Off-Grid Solar also known as Stand-Alone Solar is where you don't require connection to the electricity grid to keep the solar system producing electricity. Off-Grid solar allows you to disconnect from the electricity grid all together. This is ideal for remote locations, or those that don't want to take part in the National Electricity Market (NEM). With lowering panel prices and improving battery technology this type of system is becoming more economical for people that don't want to connect to the grid. We can help with all sizes of system and types of loads including:

  • Houses
  • Sheds
  • Pumps
  • Cool Rooms

Servicing & Repair

Keeping your solar system in good working order is vital for the safety of your system and ensures the longevity of your investment. We have the ability to test all components including solar panels, inverters, batteries and cabling. We provide detailed reports on the state of your system and help with warranty claims for all components.

Protection Panels

Grid connection panels are required by the Distribution Service Providers (DSP) (Ergon Energy and Energex) on solar systems with inverters larger than 30kW.

Contact our team of professionals to see how we can help you with application to the DSP, supply , installation and testing of solar protection panels.
